With the first team away, surely the only place to be will be The Saffrons as Town Res look to cement a league title possibly. Obviously there are different results which could and will affect everything, but it looks good.
Maximum Points Town Res - 61 points Pagham Res - 54 points Hassocks Res - 53 points
All these teams can mathematically win the league, although don't forget that Town face Pagham, and also Pagham have to face Hassocks as well.
So I have worked it out, and I'm probably wrong as I type this, but if Town beat Pagham then Pagham can no longer win the title, and it would leave Town needing 2 points to clinch the title IF Hassocks win all there games.
Remaining Fixtures (involving all 3 clubs)
9/4/11 Town v Pagham Hassocks v Hailsham
16/4/11 Hassocks v Selsey Peacehaven v Pagham
20/4/11 Mile Oak v Hassocks
23/4/11 Town v Wick Hassocks v East Preston
26/4/11 Pagham v Hassocks St Francis v Town
30/4/11 Town v East Preston Mile Oak v Pagham Peacehaven v Hassocks
2/5/11 Hassocks v Wick
Looking at that, Hassocks have some hard fixtures playing 2nd & 4th in the table, how many first team players they will throw in no one knows, but I still think a win on Saturday and the title is Towns.

Town 1 Pagham 0
Holman HT 1-0
A tense game which was largely battled out in midfield, but entertaining nonetheless. Town won because they converted one of their handful of chances whereas Pagham squandered their few. Resolute defence by Town also ensured that the visitors went home empty handed. In fact Town were solid from 1 to 15 (all 3 subs were used)
Hassocks just scaped past Hailsham 9-0, so, as Andy says above, Town need 2 points from their last 3 games if Hassocks win their last 6 games
If there were to be an MOM in this team display, I would be inclined to pick Tom Addems. In my opinion Tom has come on in leaps and bounds this season. Someone must have been feeding him raw red meat as he seems to relish the physical side of the game nowadays!

Worth mentioning Town's goal. It came when Gian Luca was brought to the ground by a tackle but got up to outpace the defender and cross for Wilf to score from close range. A reward for determination.
The closest Pagham came to equalising was near the end when their no.7 swung at the ball from 20 yards and caught it very sweetly, only to see it go narrowly wide with Andy able only to watch it go by.
As usual, a good entertaining game.

Was an entertaining game to watch, but also nail biting as well, but at this time of the season, with the league title up for grabs, you have to battle out wins like that.
Another step forward for the lads, and with Hassocks playing twice before the Reserves next game, could it be a celebration day on a Easter Saturday ? ? ? Will the Wick side even turn up, as I notice they wer unable to raise a side before ? ? ?

Good point Andrew. Wick have lost 15 league and cup mathces on the bounce sice mid-October (including a walk-over), so we are surely good for the three points. Mustn't get too complacent, though!! Hssocks duly beat Selsey yesterday, and have the final of the League cup tomorrow; but I don't think that they have another league game before Saturday
April 23rd may be judgement day.then?
