Is there now that much apathy on this web-site that nobody has got anything to say about our last two home games? I realise that there was absolutely nothing praiseworthy regarding our performance against Hythe but we did play quite well for the first half against Casuals. Unfortunately in the second half we decided not to play constructive football but just lump it forward and watch the opposition knock it back.

Dunno about apathy, your lot (like me) are probably still rolling on the floor guffawing at the blinkered match report :-) I thought you guys deserved a point. You had the 1st half, we had the second. Chances at a guess being half a dozen each. We always thoroughly enjoy coming to The Saffrons each season which increased even further this time with the kids getting in for free !! Thanks all, see you next season.

I can't comment on the Hythe game as I missed it (illness).
Difficult to say much about the Corinthian Casuals game. If Sam Crabb's shot had gone in after 20 minutes instead of hitting a post it could all have been different. Town had quite a number of shooting opportunities, particularly in the second half but they seemed to be straight at the keeper or just wide. After Casuals scored what seemed a fairly soft goal and Town were chasing the game Casuals could have had two or three more but didn't take clear chances.
I can't put my finger on any obvious problems evident from Saturday. It just seemed to be one of those days that happen now and again. Not too often I hope! I remain optimistic that Town will fare better than last season.

Unfortunately, Grimrich, it isn't 'now and again'. It's virtually every game and is fast becoming a re-run of last season. There is definitely a Saffrons complex. Perhaps town should seek a new ground in addition to a new manager !
I counted at least 7 absolutely gilt edged chances, before the defence gifted the softest of goals to throw away what would have been the remaining point. Casuals were a very poor side and should have been dead and buried by half time. Failure to see off teams of this standard will see Town struggle yet again this season, when with reasonable management, they could aspire to mid table. Relegation beckons !
The one redeeming feature was the performance of Richard Greenfield who performed very well on the right and gave town some good width. Unfortunately, Bloor removed this thorn from the visitors side in his usual 'throw 'em on and hope' 2nd half substitutions.
Back to the County....we're going back to the County...
BLOOR OUT! BLOOR OUT ! BLOOR OUT ! BLOOR OUT ! BLOOR OUT ! BLOOR OUT !

"the defence gifted the softest of goals" ... Are you sure ? This was the move of the game, a sweeping series of one touch passes from the half way line that was just too quick and clever for your players to get near !! Oh dear, oh dear ....
