Following todays draw if 3 go down then we have gone. The best we can finish is next to bottom but nobody seems to know how many are being relegated this season. East Preston cannot be promoted and Crowborough don't want to play Ryman League next year so it looks as if East Grinstead are the only team from Sussex going up. It all depends on what other teams in higher steps of the Football Pyramid want to do and how the FA intend forming the league in the future. We took an early lead today when Billy Medlock converted a penalty and we increased the lead halfway through the first half only for the home side to pull one back, as has happened so many times this season, on the stroke of half time. we remained in front until we were cruelly denied all 3 points when Chipstead equalised in the 88th minute. Crawley Down Gatwick have failed to put daylight between us and themselves by losing their third game of the week. On last Thursday they conceded the deciding goal in the 90th minute. We will have our work cut out this week with Burgess Hill coming to the Saffrons Monday night intent on forcing themselves into a play-off place and Three Bridges on Wednesday attempting to overtake Redhill. On Saturday we are at home again ,to Walton Casuals, and Easter Monday visit Worthing. We finish off with a home game to Whitstable who are not mathematically safe at moment.
