Town pushed the relegation trap door even more open with a defeat in a must-win game against a side that had taken only one point out of the last possible thirty six. The visitors now managed by the former Town managers, Tony Reid and Sammy Donnelly, have wasted no time in bringing in new players. The first half was fairly even but whereas Town had only one shot Walton tried their luck at every opportunity making Callum Christie by far the busiest keeper. As has happened several times this season Town conceded a goal on the stroke of halftime to go 1-0 down. The second half belonged more to the visitors who attacked at speed at whenever possible and camped around Towns penalty area for long periods. Medlock and Clarke received scant support up front with the ball generally staying on the touchlines until the opposing defence had regrouped. After Walton had scored two more Clarke showed how simple it could have been with a well placed header from about the only decent centre of the game to grab a consolation. To make matters worse Corinthian Casuals won taking them 6 points above us. Town have taken only 20 points from 29 games so is it likely that they can get another 30 points from the final 17 fixtures to be in with a chance of safety?

An even first half, Swans with a lot of new faces giving it a good go but not getting that close. Until 45 mins, Adams left totally unmarked right on the penalty spot, ball is played neatly to his feet, all the time in the world, keeper no chance. Swans gelled in second half, and Eastbourne defence became porous. 54 mins Scarlett carves through on left, ball falls to Adams in left of area, fine shot to top of far corner. <<?? Eastbourne twitter is crediting it to Francis! Not how I saw it but sun was in my eyes>> Eastbourne heads went dowm. 64 mins, Adams out of nowhere from about 25 yards at least, low hard and firm through the defence. 84 mins, Eastbourne consolation, guy given free header and plenty of time and target. Probably overall a fair result based on the second half - might gave been closer if Buss hadn't pulled off a couple of good saves at key points before we pulled clear. Team: Dean Buss, Sean Bradley, Andy Lomas, André Scarlett, Tom Mudge (capt), Louis Clark, Orin Boreland (sub Fabian O'Brien), Vernon Francis (sub Nathan Oliver), Nehemiah Adams (sub Louis Glace-Palmer), Matt Reece, Peter Wedgeworth; not used: Tom Hayden, Martin Beard.
