Town changed their recent ploy of giving the opposition an early goal by staying on terms for most of the first half. They then returned to their normal plan of conceding a goal on the stroke of half-time, having a few players booked, and finishing with ten men. Immediately as the second half began they played some of the best football they have played under the present managers/coaches/ directors and scored two quick goals to make a win look possible. Unfortunately when the visitors equalised the wind went out of the Towns sails and Sittingbourne cruised to an easy victory. Apart from having a player sent off for the umpteenth time this season there was a fracas on the way to the dressing rooms after the game.
