After the euphoria of Town demolishing St Francis mid-week there were high hopes that the league fight back would begin in earnest. A few more new players made their home debut, but unfortunately Medlock and Hall were missing. Goalie James Broadbent is a great find but the jury is still out on the others. A home win looked likely with the way Town handled Ramsgate for the opening 20 minutes but squandered two chances that easier to score than miss and than let the opposition back into the game. As is quite normal Town conceded a goal with almost the last kick of the first half. The second half belonged to the visitors with Town having Battie and Sutton sent off. The final score would have been worse had Broadbent not pulled off three wonderful saves. Town have only managed 11 points so far with 5 games to go to the halfway stage of the season and they probably need another 40 points to be in with a chance of avoiding relegation. They seem to find their best form away so we will have to keep our fingers crossed for Saturday.
