After four games played town have got one point scored 2 goals whilst conceeding ten. This was always going to be a season of change and most supporters expected a season where we wud lose more than we won but after seeing 3 of the matches in the league its very clear that we are struggling big time. The appointment of the new management was welcomed by me and no one is going to have a contact book as large as mr bloor had but the lack of quality is evident it takes time to mould a side I know but frm what I have seen we could be cut adrift at the bottom well before Christmas . Its easy to critice and respect must be given to all who give up there time to give us a game of football to watch but I fear that if performance and quality dont improve all the hard work to achieve ryman status will be lost. I will support and follow the town and lets hope better days are on the way. Discuss fellow fans KTF

I posted a comment on the forum on 17/06/13 - progression or regression - following the appointment of the new management team. My fears seem to be coming true, but like you Townhallside, I will keep faith with the club but it does make a long 90 minutes of each game when you're stood on the sidelines!!
On the bright side, i had a meat and ale pie at the saffrons and it was really tasty ;-)

I find it difficult to come to any firm conclusion about the likely outcome of Town's poor start to the season. I have seen just two league games, home to Redhill and Corinthian Casuals. Against Redhill I thought that Town looked like a team whose players were still getting used to each other. Town had very few chances and were unlucky that Richmond Kissi was on good goalscoring form for Redhill.
Against Corinthian Casuals, Town should have won. They created some chances to score but didn't take any. The defence looked fairly sound but, in spite of some chances, the attacking force still seemed lightweight.
I didn't see the match at Crawley Down Gatwick but I'm sure that Town missed Steve Elliott, who was out injured, particularly as they were playing against the league leaders.
I believe it is too early to press the panic button yet but, yes, Town's results are a matter of real concern. Goals look as if they are going to be very hard to come by but townhallside and bourneagain are right, all we can do is to continue to support Town and hope to see the team's fortunes improve.

So town's poor start to the season continues with a 2 _0 defeat at Burgess Hill .Have seen that ethan is on his way to rye utd wich means losing yet another experienced player also some bizzare team selections can't of helped the poor start to the season. It's a good idea to appoint a manager who is looking to bring the youth on and use the reserves when needed but unless the first team is stong are the few quality experienced players we have, will wish to stay It takes time to mould a side but time is moving on and after five games one point and poor performances its not good enough

Yes, the team does seem to be built on weak foundations, which is why Steve Elliott, who is so central to the defence, is important to the side.
What is happening at Town? I see from the programme for today's match against Peacehaven and Telscombe that as well as Ethan Strevett, Liam Baitup and Dan Bolwell have left the club. Liam was welcomed as a player who Town would rely on for goals, yet he is now playing (and scoring goals) for East Preston.
By my reckoning, no fewer than 23 players have played for Town in the six league games so far, with only two starting every match. No wonder the team has yet to gel.
Two defensive lapses lost today's game to P&T. Town really cannot afford defensive slips as they seem unlikely to make up for them with goals of their own. It might have been different had Billy Medlock scored from his late penalty when Town were only one down but I can't recall many other Town attempts on goal. The attack really does need reinforcing if Town are not to remain anchored to the foot of the league.
I'm hoping that Saturday's cup game against Corinthian may give the team an opportunity to feel under less pressure to get a result and allow them to build some much needed confidence.
