Town shared the points with Mile Oak in a very entertaining game played in appalling conditions. The visitors had the woodwork to thank for keeping Town out in the first half whilst Towns goalie had to make a tremendous save from a well struck free kick from the edge of the area. Mile Oak took the lead when slack defending from a corner allowed an opposing forward a free run and powerful header. Town equalized before half-time with a well placed shot. The match was well handled by the referee who realised that there would be a lot of physical contact due to the mud-field. There was only "handbags at dawn" episode when a couple of players puffed up their chests like angry pigeons but with the other players telling the ref to get on with the game it all fizzled out. Full marks must go to both sets of players for enjoying the game and performing in a sporting manner.
